At Tufts Vietnamese Students Club (VSC),

We explore, share, and preserve our common roots and experiences. We strive to introduce and promote the Vietnamese culture to the Tufts community. We harvest this goal through cultural, educational, and social events relating to our Vietnamese heritage both on and off campus.

VSC has given me many things: unforgettable memories with amazing people, a deeper appreciation for my culture, and a reason to take study breaks. I came in expecting just to make friends and instead got a family.

Co-President

Even though I’m halfway across the world from Vietnam, VSC has become my family, my home away from home. Through VSC, I’ve made so many memories and become part of a community that I’ll always be grateful for.

Vice President

Daniel Nguyen

Hey there! I’m a junior who’s going for Economics and International Relations, and I love learning languages including Vietnamese (oops!). I also like reading about history and politics and hanging out with my VSC family!

Treasurer

Huyen Pham

VSC is my home away from home. Despite being physically far from Vietnam, I can eat authentic Vietnamese dishes, play Vietnamese games, speak Vietnamese, make Vietnamese jokes, and meet other Viet friends at Tufts thanks to VSC.

Secretary

Ricki Le

I am a sophomore from Memphis, TN studying Community Health. VSC has been an amazing support system where I’ve connected with individuals from all different backgrounds!

Publicity Chair

Cindy Siu

VSC taught me many things. I learned my favorite Vietnamese adjectives, perfected the spring roll making technique, and learned to love everyone here unconditionally.

Community Outreach

Britnie Nguyen

Hi! I’m currently a sophomore studying Biology and Computer Science and I have an unhealthy relationship with sleep; I fall hard for car karaoke; and I could always unabashedly make a fool out of myself in the comfort of my other VSC members.

Our Events

Fall Semester

Our main fall event, Coffee Shop, shares the popular Vietnamese drink, cà phê sữa đá, with the Tufts community. We serve fresh coffee on the spot with other delicious Vietnamese dishes. While guests eat and drink, they can enjoy our show with performances from the Boston area.

This is a fun event to get involved in! If you want to take charge, you can organize and plan out big aspects of the event with other VSC members. Or, if you want a small role, you can help set up on the day of the event. We welcome any involvement, big or small!

Spring Semester

Our biggest event of the year, Culture Show, showcases different aspects of Vietnamese culture to the Tufts community and other VSAs in the New England area. From Vietnamese cuisine and áo dài to V-Pop and the Vietnamese / Asian American identity, we spend most of the semester planning out skits, performances, and more to express these facets of our culture.

Whether it be planning out and setting up the event with other VSC members, or practicing (and struggling) together for our annual VSC dance, this is a great way to get involved with the club!
